Internal Standard for Palm FAME

Hello everyone.

My company is currently facing some problem with different content (percentage differ up to 2 units) of C18:2 and C:16 with outside laboratory GLC result.

My questions are:-
1) May I know how to prepare our Internal Standard for palm oil fatty acid methyl ester?

2) Do I need to use External Standard to prepare (quantify) my Internal Standard?

Our GC FAME is using fast sample preparation method, which we insert 3 drop of oil into the test tube, add 1.4ml of N-Heptane, then add up 3 drops of sodium methanolic solution, and then vortex. Then add up some sulphate powder and vortex and finally filter into vial.
