Hi ,

Ezchrom again !

Anybody know how this software calculates S/N ratio ?
I am currently using the intelligent report to summarise S/N ratio of 2 peaks in one chromatogram.

The expressions in the report are 'Signal to noise' or 'Signal to noise 6 sigma'.

The results obtained seem to be correct but I cannot figure out how Ezchrom is calculating these values and how to explain these values from a regulatory pint of view (Empower and Chromeleon no ta problem on that front)

The help states inhibit integration points it starts and ends at for measuring noise.

Is this measurement taken from a blank or the actual 'sensitivity' chromatogram where the height of peak is taken from

Thanks
I Googled "EZCHROM user manual". The first hit is a link to an Agilent pdf EZCHROM User guide. I searched the pdf for "Signal to Noise". It explains both EP and USP signal to noise calculation and how to use them in EZCHROM.
