7890 and ChromPerfect 6.0 communications issues

I have been having problems with my 7890 communicating with ChromPerfect 6.0. The crossover cable seems to working just fine when I ping the IP addresses. Also, ChemStation communicates just fine with the 7890. Has anyone else had this problem and know a possible solution?

I'm trying to add a 7890B to a Chromperfect 6.0 system. I can download parameters and receive status without issue, but can not acquire signal. CP acquisition appears to start, but I get no response data received from FID during an acquisition. I have tried various TCP ports per page 132/133 of Main Manual. The system is currently configured as second LAN card on the controlling PC and then via a switch, but direct communication from 7890B to PC with no switch has same issue. I get a post-"acquisition" error which contains: "Hardware Interface (HP7890) Error: SubscribeToData error.... invalid Data Return IP or TCP port... System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: 27: target did not respond..."

Note that full control and acquisition *is* possible with Chemstation, so communications are basically ok, but we prefer to just use CP for all control, acquisition and processing. (Two 5890's running via RS-232 cards on this system work ok.)

Was your situation anything like this? How did you resolve it?

I have the exact same issue with a new 7890B and chromperfect 6.

If you did any suggestion on fixing it.
