Moisture in gas lines

What's the best way to purge moisture from gas lines? Is any particular gas better than another? The line usually carries instrument air.

Eliminate dead volume when possible. Elevated temp is very helpful, for small scale work I've used a heat gun to warm the tubing. Vacuum/pressure swinging can be very effective.

I tend to use nitrogen because it is so cheap and I'm not aware of any benefits of using a different gas. Basically you need to get adsorbed water molecules off the tubing walls and into the gas phase, then sweep them along and out.
Thanks
