TCD signal baseline doesn't change the position

When I turn on the TCD detector, there is no position change for the signal, the signal only changed from straight line to noise. Does my TCD detector broken? Usually the signal would increase and then decrease and then stabilized. What should I do to check if the TCD detector is broken or not?
