Friends,

I would like to hear any information and experiences related to places where you could buy second hand equipment. Are there many of these companies available?, do they really offer a good deal?, what about warranties or service?, do they refurbish equipment as well?

I am particularly interested in IC instruments.

I've purchased LC pumps, columns, a 2 detectors from ebay and they're all working just fine with minimal problems. There are few companies that
buy cheap, refurbish, mark-up and try to resell that Ive seen at past Pittcons but I always check ebay first since any "Refurbishing" that they do (and will charge you for)..I can do myself.

In the USA Metrohm-Peak sells IC instruments which have been used in demonstrations, tradeshows, refurbished trade-ins and all have warranty, installation and training. Contact lt@mp-ic.com for information and availability.

I've purchased used or rental-return systems and components from Alpha Omega and from Quantum Analytics. These are not as-is systems, they are checked out and guaranteed.
