Backup in Empower 2 and Restore in Empower 3

Hi,
Our company is moving from Empower 2 to Empower 3.
Can someone please provide step by step process to backup in Emp 2 and restore in Emp 3?
Also do we need to do data cleansing, transformation or mapping???
