Autosampler 508 Error "sample niddle does not rotate correct

I bought a 508 autosampler and connected it to Beckman HPLC system gold but getting this error message " sample needle does not rotate correctly" and "sample needle not in home position" grateful for any advice or suggestions on how to solve this.
