In the past, I lubricated the syringe worm drive on an old Varian Star 9100 series autosampler. I do not remember the lubricant name. Would anyone know what type of lubricant (name, brand) to use on such a worm drive?

All advice will be greatly appreciated.
A Thermo engineer once said that on their instruments, he recommended a reasonable-quality bicycle oil.
Thank you.
