We have this finnigan surveyor LC. Right now the degasser is having noise when it is on. The LED light on the door for degasser shows yellow instead of green. Any suggestion for this, or any related manual I can look into, or any parts anyone you know I should look up online and try to do the replacement? Thank you very much.

I found this. It is expensive. I really look for some suggestions whether there is any specific part I should check.

I guess I have to do offline degassing then.

While you run with off-line degasser, take the unit apart and try to find the problem. It could be something as simple as a brittle/cracked line between the vacuum pump and the chamber, in which case you can probably replace it for $1 or so from your neighborhood auto parts store. Since it's showing yellow, not red, I expect the vacuum pump itself is probably OK. Worst-case is a leaky fiber in the unit itself; if it's a four-channel system, you may be able to swap things around and still use three of the channels.
