5890 software replacement

I have an HP 5890 II GC with a split injector and FID detector that I use for measuring methane and other HC gases in samples of diluted exhaust gas. The system had a Windows 98 PC with Chemstation software. This unit was purchased years ago from a lab surplus site, and it has worked quite well for me. However, the Windows 98 PC has failed, and since I don't have the original software, I am looking for an affordable replacement for software that would let me control the GC and also do the analysis and integration of the peaks. If possible, I would like a system that works with Windows XP, since most of our lab systems use this, but Windows 7 would also be okay.

I am not a chemist or a chromatography expert, but am an engineer with a basic understanding of chromatography and was able to learn how to set up and operate the old system at a level that met my needs. Is there any kind of open source or shareware solution out there for GC control and analysis?

Any help or suggestions that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you for the suggestions. I was able to go back to my original supplier and they are building me a replacement computer that should work, so this should fix my situation. Thanks again for you interest and help.
