Looking at LC/MS for pesticides

Haven't bought new instrumentation for years. Any thought in terms of LC/MS vs LC/MS-TOF, etc. as it relates to current instrumentation? Trying to detect/quantify pesticides in natural products for supplements, and we may be interested in looking at natural products quantitation as well.

Looked at Agilent, Shimadzu, Waters- any thoughts on these brands and others would be welcome. Thanks!

We have the AB Sciex API3200 LC/MS/MS that I have used for this type of analysis before and it works well. It is and older model they don't make any more but the newer ones are even more sensitive. Software can seem a little cludgy at times but I think the newer versions are much better.

We were able to get almost 300 pesticides simultaneously with this setup, but we also found that to cover the full lists of pesticides you will be looking at using a GC/MS/MS also since some are just not amenable to LC separation.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
We are using two LC MSMS Agilent 6490 and we are currently monitoring about 400 pesticides in a single twenty minutes run.
About 300 with two transictions and the other with only one. It means a total of 700 MRM without significative loss of linearity and sensitivity. It s comparable to the Waters TQ-S but we prefere the first due to its data-analisys software (Mass Hunter).
Of course it's necessary to have also a GC-MSMS system in order to cover the pesticides not ameneble in LC.
