I am a student that just started using GC. I want to know if there is a source where I can get tcd response factors, which I can use to compare the ones I have determined with samples?

Do you think the response factors for ethane and methane will be 1:1?

Methane has about 10% less mole response than ethane if you are using Helium carrier, if I remember correctly.

FID and TCD responses are not 1:1 until you get up to about C6 and above in carbon number.

There was an article published about 1967 which describes the thermal responses for a lot of analytes.

You can look at the thermal conductivities of the pure gases for comparison.

Sorry I cannot help more.
