Hi everyone,
I was using a custom macro called Man_FC.mac on my Agilent 1100 LC Prep/Chemstation A 10.02, which is very usefull to perform manual fraction collect during LC Prep method developpment... It add a button on the system diagram (a tubing with drops...) wich can activate/stop collect by clicking.
Recently I decided to change the PC running Win XP to a new PC runing Win7 and to upgrade the chemstation software A 10.02 to B 04.03. I planned to continue using the macr Man_FC but, if this installation is ok, the button has no effect on the fraction collector and an error message appears in the command line...
Does anyone know how to modifiy this macro in order to use it with B 04.03/win7 ?
Thank you !

Generally the macros themselves will work in XP and Win 7. The problem can be if the macro calls a procedure written in Visual Basic 6 or lower. These procedures will not run in Windows 7.

So the solution is to rewrite the procedure in the later Visual Basic version ? do you know anyone who can do this ?
Thanks

I would contact the person or company that supplied you with the macro. I have looked at the macros supplied by Agilent with the ChemStation software and do not see the macro that you mention. You say that this is a custom macro, so who supplied it to you?

Maybe he is still alive

I was told that Agilent doesn't develops this macro anymore because they have integrated the function ton their new software Open Lab which runs under Win7.

A kind of planned obsolescence of the software.
Seems that you will get new skill of debugging ChemStation macros
Or a generous person helps you with neccessary modifications.
