Greetings all! I isolated a problem on my Agilent 1322a degasser down to a worn pump. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a replacement pump that would fit without costing an arm and a leg.

Thanks

Casey
It's basically an aquarium pump (diaphragm pump) hooked up in reverse.

Speaking as a representative of a third-party instrument service provider, there's no easy way of getting around Agilent as the source of a replacement pump that will work in that degasser. Make sure the vacuum tubing between diaphragms is okay, and if you feel industrious you can try disassembling the pump and cleaning the diaphragms, but beyond that the best option is to replace the vacuum pump (P/N G1322-6000).

Thanks for the advice all.

I ended up taking it apart, cleaning it and putting it back together and it is working pretty well so far.
