Do I need an adaptor to install a megabor column on the 6890N GC? It is currently set up to run a capillary column.

You do not need any adapter. A megabor (530 um ID) uses the same column nuts as a 250 or 320 um ID capillary column.

It "can" use the same nuts, but of course different ferrules.

I don't know what is sold these days, but in the past there were nuts for smaller size capillaries that actually had a smaller hole than for the 0.53mm columns. The nuts may all be supplied with the larger hole these days, can't imagine why those nuts with the larger hole shouldn't work for all common sizes.

Hi CPG, the larger holes create more of problem with graphite ferrules extruding past the column if you use them with thin columns.
