Trapping instruments with Q3 like scan functions(NL and Pre)

I'm interested in getting feedback on instruments that will allow neutral loss (NL) and precursor (Pre) experiments and allow data dependant ms3 scans. The AB QTRAP is the prominent example, are there others? I've read some literature that claims the Finnigan LTQ can do this also. True or False? Any others to consider?

Finally any overall feedback on system ease of use, robustness, and throughput would be appreciated. Particularly interested in feedback from high volume labs (500+ samples per day)

Thanks

OK, any other sites to post this question to?

Thanks

JDR,

Yes you can do precursor and neutral loss experiments with the LTQ. It is very common to use the LTQ in automated data dependentant neutral loss for phosphopeptide and other PTM identification as well as for biotransformation analyses.

The AB QTrap has similar capabilities but we do not have one so I can not provide you with any feedback on that. Also we are not doing 500+ samples per day (per instrument)...

LTQ is pretty easy to use and the software is pretty good.
