Triplus autosampler problems

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

I have a Thermo Triplus autosampler attached to a Trace GC with DSQ II MS. The liquid head does not initialize properly any more - random movements, whereas the headspace autosampler head initializes fine. There are no serviceable parts to this liquid head and a new head is very expensive. Any ideas what might be causing the problem?

Thanks,

Simon
Bad or dirty sensor on the liquid injection head. There may be no user serviceable parts on the sampler but I would be surprised if it was not servicable.
That's what I thought, it can't be completely trashed. Thermo do not offer parts, just a new turret. Will try cleaning the sensor as you suggest.
