How to change the size of a font for text report printing (default is Arial 12). Is it a _systemfont$ reserved variable? Cannot find anything in Chemstation Help.

Goto your Windows directory and open the file 'ChemStation.ini' with NotePad. If you look in the [PCS] section you will find the entries "ReportFontName" and "ReportFontSize". You can change these to what you need. Save the file. You will probably need to restart ChemStation for the changes to take effect. If you are not familiar to changing .ini files, it would be advisable to make a copy of the file before you make changes.

Hi Gasman,
There is no chemstation.ini file (E2.00), just msdchem.ini, and there is nothing related to fonts. I can try just to add [PCS] and reportfontname/reportfontsize lines to see if it works. My intention is to print different parts of report with different fonts and to changing them in a macro. i don't know is it possible.
Regards,
Eugene
Were you ever able to figure this out? I am trying to do the same thing and I think I am running a similar version of the software. I also don't have a Chemstation.ini file. Would love to customize font with a macro command, but changing a system file works too. Any help would be great!
not yet but still thinking
My specific problem is that one printer in our lab will print a Japanese Yen symbol in place of the backslash in the header of our Data Analysis reports. The other printers are fine. The problem printer will print backslashes fine from Word or other software....just seems to be a Data Analyis problem. Not sure if changing the font would fix it....any other ideas are welcome. Changing the printer driver did not work and contacting Cannon got me nowhere.
then change stubborn printer - end of your problem. Seriously, looks like printer problem.
