If you are performing addictive medicine and Pain Management Toxicology, using ONLY TOF mass spec, is this a good idea? Personally I believe you should also use a triple quad.
What is the consensus on this? is a TOF enough?

Thanks.
Martin
I would think single MS could be enough.. if your TOF is HRAM capable this does give a very good selectivity.. if you also can do MS/MS with your TOF I would say your are better off then with a triple quad..

In my opinion standard triple quads are SO last century.. :D

The MS is the last in the line of a long string of analytical chemistry - so the answer depends on how you are doing the sample prep, what exactly you are looking for (metabolites vs active) etc etc.

You are not interesting in GC-MS (qqq or q-tof)? It's now very popular instrument for toxicology.
Also i read about bruker's toxtyper ion trap. Looks like good solution for your tasks.
