Best books On Chrom and MS theory and applications??

Please rec. some of the best books (or resources) for learning about this area in depth. I am a long time synthetic chemist. Trying my best to become an analytical chemist now and I am really wanting to "study" this area of chemistry just like I studied synthesis back when I was in graduate school, so books and literature suggestions are very appreciated. Analytical techniques to a synthetic chemist are just a means to an end and good data is good enough, but now good enough is not acceptable in the analytical world and it needs to be excellent. Besides we only use NMR much more than MS.
Specifically I am looking to further my understanding on.
1) MS theory, and how with a better understanding of it I can fine tune and adjust everything available to me in my LcMSMS system to run the best experiments or try the best things possible that are guided by a complete understanding of how changing anything will affect my data
2) Chromtography theory: looking for a guide on everything chromatoraphy, from the basics of theory, all the way up to indepth discussions of selecting what stationary phase for what analytes, sizes of columns flow rates everything else etc.
Is there a book or books that anyone can suggest that has a lot of this sort of information, or at least a good foundation to start with, and then please suggest where I can read (journals reviews etc) to gain more advanced knowledge.
I know this information is all out there spread out all over the place. But I just figured that it would be very good if everyone could offer their suggestions on important articles or papers and we can start compiling them into one specific place to save everyone time.
