Thermo instrument faulty just weeks after warranty expiratio

Dear forum,
Is there anybody else that has had/have a Thermo instrument (LTQ classic, Q-exactive, Q-exactive Plus) that just weeks after the warranty expired gone faulty? Not crashed entirely but small problems that may need service attention. Went to a congress recently and heard a few stories about this and now it happened in our lab.
Just wanted to hear if there may be others that experienced the same.

I'd contact manufacturer to see if they might cover it. Or maybe they'd cover it if you went with service contract.
