Hi guys, I have trying to get a straight answer from Waters on how to calculate the S/N for a peak using the same area from a blank chromatogram and not from the same chromatogram, and I have had no success understanding them. COuld anyone explain how to do this to me? Thank you

Empower 2 allows EP S/N calculation using a blank, you will need to create a custom field.
It has the exact steps in the Help section of the software.

Hi Shadow...please feel free to try this out:
http://www.waters.com/webassets/cms/sup ... ower_2.pdf
This will help greatly with the s/n calculation in Empower 2, whichever way you want to do the calculation. The Empower 3 has cleared this up greatly...apologies if you don't have that version, we just got it a while ago ourselves.
Best Wishes!
