Hello to everyone.
I have an agilent series 5890 working on chemstaion progeamm and i realized that i put wrong name on the sample list. How can i change the name of the sample in offline mode after the analysis?

Change the name in the Sequence Table, Save the Sequence, then reprocess using the change (check mark or X in the box on Sequence Parameters page).

If not using a sequence - then I don't know.

Does your version of Chemstation have an "Edit File Info" under the file menu? If so it can be changed there. I don't remember all that was in the A versions so you may not have that available.

Not in A version, at least not in A10.02

There is no "Edit File Info" under the file menu.
I am working on a B.03.02 version off chemstation.
Any other suggestions?

1. Compose a "one sample sequence" if you aquired signal as a sample not sequence
2. Reprocess as CPG wrote in 2nd post

or GOTO 2. directly if your samples were run as a sequence

Usually you would just change the folder name or the filename (e.g. from wRongname.D to rightname.D or whatever). Use My Documents or Windows Explorer to navigate to the Chemstation folder on the C drive or D drive. Make sure the data file isn't open when renaming it.

You should probably first make a copy of the data file/folder, put the copy in a temporary folder, and see if you can rename it and then open it without issue. If I misunderstood the question I apologize.

This is the case. Hint: sample name has nothing in common with file name.

GOTO post 2. You have to run your sequence with corrected sample name again ! (but without data aquisition).

If you have and instrument with the MSDChemstation handy, you can load the file from the GC/LC chemstation and edit it with the Edit File Info menu then save it and send it back to the GC/LC computer.

This is another reason I always acquire data on the LC instruments then transfer it to the MSDChemstation computer to work up the data.
