Connecting Agilent 1100 VWD to Analyst 1.4.2

Discussions about GC-MS, LC-MS, LC-FTIR, and other "coupled" analytical techniques.

My workplace recently inherited a hand-me-down LCMS and I am having problems connecting the modules to the computer. In all the manuals I have read, only the agilent 1100 DAD (G1513A or B) is compatible with Analyst. We were unaware of this and allowed someone to swap our DAD out with a VWD (and now the DAD is long gone with another company). I can get the tower to communicate once the firmwares were all the same and I finally got it to talk with the computer after uninstalling and reinstalling the GPIB software. All thats left is to activate the VWD with the Analyst software. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I guess there is no other way is there? I think I will just swap out one of the DADs from the HPLC that just does LC work and replace it with the VWD. Thank you for your help!
