Reseting lampmeter on 1100 VWD

Hi to all,

I just resurrected and completed a system that was mothballed in our basement for 15 years.

A 1050 Ti Quat pump (the Ti feature is not needed though), with an 1050 Autosampler and a 1050 column oven (which I currently use as a holder for the mobile phase bottles  ). I had a spare 1100 oven with column switch and I bought a used 1100 VWD. The whole system is connected with HP-IB cables between the modules and the computer, except the connection of the two 1100 modules, which is with LAN cable. The whole system runs on Rev A 10.02 and suprisingly it was quite easy to set up the system without to much fettling and swearing and works like a clock!.

Yesterday we tried with my technician to reset the lampmeter of the 1100 VWD but Chem Station said that it is not possible through the diagnostics tool. I know that this can be done by macro direct in Chemstation (providing that I have this macro). Is this true? Which is this macro....can anybody help?

Kind regards from Switzerland
Andreas
Hello

Try this: (it should work normally)

Resetting lamp hours
In the Diagnosis level of the ChemStation software, click on the icon for the detector. You will see a drop-down menu. Choose Show Module Details. You will see an icon of a logbook and a wrench. Click on this icon, and you will see another drop-down menu. Select Maintenance Logbook Entry. Choose the Maintenance Message entry Lamp Replaced. The ChemStation software will prompt you to reset the counter.

Hi Tomasz,

thats what I did but somehow it says that it does not support that.... :? I dont know if it has anything to do that is is a hybrid 1050/1100 system.

Hello

Disconect VWD from rest of modules (disconect CAN cables) and configure only VWD in chemstation (so in diagnostic mode you'll see only detector).
And then run procedure again.
