I have on old HP 1050 LC with a Chemstation A.06.04. My problem is that I can see the chromatogram on the monitor (using a VWD), but the signals of the VWD isn't saved to the data file, e.g. the file vwd1a.ch isn't created in the data directory. The VWD channel is of course assigned to the method.
Could you help me with this problem?
Hello,

on a DAD this is the case when you don't mark a box in the DAD Signal settings for "Save".

Then the Data-File isn't created.

This should be the same on a VWD.

Edit: Hm, I see, that on a VWD there is no box. :(
I've searched through the method settings and practically all the instrument settings in Chemstation and found nothing which can be in connection with the problem.
Do you have all the remote cables hooked up and not just the GPIB?
I'll check it (on Monday). They should be attached. By the way, commands send out to VWD from the Chemstation command prompt are going through remote cables or GPIB? 'cos sending e.g. the "lampall on" command is working and the lamp turns on.
