I am not fluent in this field like many of you and I would like some basic information that seems hard to find out on the internet.

I work for a company that is looking to Purchase a Agilent G6460AA, 6400 Series Triple Quadrupole LC/MS System.

How many samples can this machine do in each batch. I read on this forum that after each batch there is a 120 min cleaning cycle that happens.

The testing we would be doing is urine analysis for certain types of drugs.

I know I did not give a lot of information but if you can help me out with some basics and if I need more complex questions answered maybe I can send someone a private message.

By the far the best source for any basic technical information about instruments is the companies that make them.

More subjective issues like ease of use are when you need to ask for individual opinions, but be prepared to hear conflicting advice.

Before you get anywhere near making a purchase decision you need to get a demo with some real smaples.

Thank you for the response. We have been in contact with the manufacturers but wanted some opinion/information from people who have used this machine.

I understand like with any forum, the people on it will not agree and might have very different opinions.

I think we want to know what this machine is capable of which seems to be something the manufacturer doesn't answer very well. They know what it does but not how it works in the real world and what it can accomplish in a day.
