Hi,

anyone knows what FID detector can I fit inside an old Finnigan GCQ GC ? Is the one in the next image.

Also anyone has one to sell, or knows where to buy one ?

Thank you,
Vlad
Why ?
It was far from the best GC when it came out and was fortunately short lived being replaced with the Trace GC. If you want cheap get a whole GC from an established reliable and still serviceable make  It will no doubt be cheaper than an add on FID.
Hi,

the MS detector may be beyond repair after the motherboard got fried (still to be determined if can be repaired).

I don't want to send to trash 10k USD just because those cheap bastards from spectralab sold me a Frankenstein monster.

I want to use at least the GC, it is decent after i repaired it and replaced the fans. I can do C10-C40 on it with a FID. I don't want to invest another couple of thousands USD, so I want to find just a FID detector for it. It is small so easy and cheap to deliver to Romania... On the other hand to buy again a second hand GC, not in a million years. The other option is to get a cheap Dani GC with FID, which new is around 6k EUR...

Regards,
Vlad
Go with the Dani
