Hello,

I can see where you select the detector minus column comp. However, I am having trouble finding where you actually perform the column compensation run.

Hello

If you're using Agilent GC do as below:

You need to run it from GC keybord. After your ColComp is saved you need to run your method with "detector signal - column compensation"

Thanks for the response. I guess I should have noted this is a Agilent 6850 connected to a computer running EZchrom Elite 3.3.1. Is it possible to do the column compensation run in EZchrom Elite?

Thanks,

Brad
Hello

I'm not sure if you can run it in EZCh but check detector signal options...you should have dropdown menu with
-signal
-signal - column compensation
-column compensation

If not, use hand controler from GC 6850 (instant pilot) to run it

We installed the hand controller from another 6850 and ran the column comp using that. I already had seen where you select the detector signal options but have not been able to find anywhere where you can run a column comp run inside of EZChrome.

Thank,

Brad
Hello

If you ran column compensation from GC6850 hand controler and you stored it just go to EZChrom instrument control - detector and mark as below:(example is for FID but you can do it with other detectors as well)
