hi all,
I have a problem and I want to your help:
- In GC, which samples use Calibration Curves on standard and which samples use Calibration Curves in sample background.
Thanks so much !!!
It seems like you are trying to decide whether to use external calibration or the method of standard addition to calibrate. My experience has been that it depends on the sample matrix and your sampling technique. If your method is direct injection of a liquid sample or static headspace analysis, I would say that external calibration is generally the best way to go. If your sampling method is an extraction technique like solid-phase microextraction, I would recommend the method of standard addition.
