Hi all
In the manual they advice to flush your LC/MS/MS system in the end of the day for 15 min with 50:50 methanol:water and they give values that should be set for most of the parameters in HESI mode. However, they did not state at which temperature the ion transfer tube should be set. Any idea about it.
Sorry for this basic question.
cheers
Hi,

What mass spectrometer do you use ?
As you're talking of HESI and Ion transfer tube, I guess you have a Thermo instrument, but what model ?
Hi
It is a quantiva.
For a Quantiva, I strongly advise you to let the ion transfer tube heated. Otherwise you will have a bad vacuum due to the huge size of the ion transfer tube.

I personally do that in all my instruments.
ok. Thanks very much :)
