Chlorine Gas Analysis

I am wondering if anyone has analyzed organic chlorides in dry chlorine gas.

I need to see ppm levels to percent levels for the organic chloride, I am using an FID. So far during column testing I have not been able to find a column that does not react with chlorine, most of the columns seem to have their phase stripped and I get large rolls or phase peaks. The columns I have found that do not react have issues with separation between methyl chloride and chlorine so I can't cut the chlorine to vent.

Do you have to have gaseous chlorine in your sample?

Can you remove it with a wet sodium thiosulfate trap without ridding your sample of the analyte?
