MassLynx 4.1 loses connection during runs

Hello everyone

I have to use full security mode with Masslynx 4.1 (SCN 627). During analyses with a regulated user account I experience loss of connection from the instrument to the epc ("The instrument is not responding, tune page will close"). But the epc is still available via telnet. I can even start RIO Main Menu via telnet, but MassLynx cannot connect. I have to restart both PC and epc to recover and be able to measure some more samples. The frequence is quite variable. Sometimes I can run 50 samples, sometimes only 5.
I dit not have this kind of trouble when working with a non-regulated user (so far. Ther is a heap of samples to measure under regulated conditions, so I cannot afford the time to try this out again at the moment).
Any experience on this?

I partially resolved this. The problem is the second network interface in the computer:
The energy saving option of the instrument LAN was deactivated, but the second LAN had energy saving still enabled (aargh!).
However, connection losses did not completely disappear. It still happens, but much less frequent.

Static IP addresses for everything or DHCP?
If DHCP, how long are the leases on IP addresses and how often is the DNS server updated?

Thanks for the hint. It is set to DHCP. I'll ask our IT specialist if I can set the company LAN interface to static and keep you updated with the result.

It is up and running using a static IP now more than 2 weeks without loss of connection.
