I have an Agilent 1200 HPLC. I need to wash my injection system four-five times in order to eliminate cross contaminations. The best way I have found it is just to inject four times 100 mcl solvent using the same HPLC program. Can I wash my system without injecting the solvent into a column?

On my quaternary Agilent 1100 I always reserve one solvent line to a wash and/or column storage mixture. You can even create a method to rinse automatically the column at the end of a day, or at the end of a batch; and even shutdown automatically the machine
