Dear all,
anybody know about how to carry out the experiment to monitor the uptake of pesticide in plant (Tall). If you have any references or friend working on this area, please let me know...thanks.

Use a tritiated version of the pesticide on the plant(1), wait, hose plant down (wash off any residue of pesticide), honogenize plant in water, extract pesticide & other organics in a volatile organic, reduce to a reasonable volume and send to a liquid scintillation counter.

(1) if H3 version of pesticide is not available, substitute a tritiated constituant in a lab batch prep, ideally near the end of the process with a readily available intermediate and a cheap component.

IF LSC not available, repeat the above steps using a regular batch of the pesticide but add an internal standard to the mix when you go to extract the pesticide...
Thanks,
DR
