Hi,

As you will understand I'm not an expert...

So I have a Gc Trace Focus - MS ITQ 700 and I would like to decrease save my helium when the sequence of analysis is done.

How can I tell the software to decrease the temperature of the GC to 30°C and stop the flow of helium?

Thanks a lot,

Kevin
you can create a dummy method to run at the end of each sequence which will cool down the oven and decrease helium flow (use programmed flow mode in this case) or better just decrease split flow to minimal value

but do not turn off helium completely, as your mass spec will start sucking atmospheric air through split vent and this may eventually affect the performance of the instrument
Thanks! What about split less and a flow of 0.5ml/min ?
