6890 GC is connected to LAC/e Acquisition Server via Avocent HUB. Worked at one point. Has moved to different lab. Cannot not get Empower to recognize the instruments.

configuration:
RS-232 connection into Ports 1 & 8 of Avocent. Empower registers them as Com's @3 & @10.

Have deleted the instruments and recreated them. checked the GC settings and compared to Water documentation. They haven't changed since it is hard coded manually.
