conversion from pico amps to counts?

I am running a HP ChemStation with a HP 5890 GC. I am trying to troubleshoot some drifitng baseline issues. First, however, I am concerned with how the signal windows in the Method & Run Control mode vs the Data Analysis mode are related. The readout on the GC and online plot signal window in the Method & Run COntrol mode is time vs pico amps. The plot in the data analysis window displays time vs counts. Is there a way to figure out the conversion between pico amps and counts? If it is adjustable, where is it done on the software? Thanks much.

It is a scale factor of about 270..according to Agilent. There is no scale factor on the 6890 and pico amps are read out directly in the Data Analysis view. Apparently it cannot be adjusted in the software.
