Agilent 1200 LC ChemStation B.04.01 method problem

Hello,
I have Agilent 1200 LC and ChemStation Software B.04.01
I have a problem to edit a method because " Edit entire method" in Method menu is NOT active, when I load any saved method and make any changes the Massage "Can't Save Method" Appears. also, " Save method" & "Save as " in the method Menu are NOT active
Can any one help me to solve this problem.

Hello,

i think you changed the "Acess Level" under "View" from Manager to Operator.

Then you can't edit or create methods.

If you don't have the password (if it was set), I think you have to reinstall the software.

when I changed the access level from "Operator" mode to "manager" mode in View menu, "Edit Entire Method" become Active. But, Is this NORMAL to the "Edit Entire Method" to be active in manager mode and to be NOT active in Operator mode?

Yes.

You can look into the Chemstation Help and search the Index for "Acess Level".
