Varian 220MS problem

Hi Everyone

My Varian 220MS is showing a high (fluctuating between OK and High) cal gas value even when I completely close the cal gas valve.

I am not seeing any peaks for the cal gas or air and water.

The diagnostics pass without any problems and the filaments are not open.

The RF looks fine.

The turbo is 100% (230 mA).

I have cleaned the trap thinking it could be contamination but this did not help.

Any other ideas would be warmly received.

Thanks in advance.

Hi MJD
wait some time after completely closed cal gas valve and then monitor the value.
If it’s still showing ok or high and you have receive ion of cal gas its means something wrong in cal gas Nob.
If you not reeive spectra of ions and it’s show high or ok its means something wrong in softerware. You shutdown your computer and restart your chemist software some time it work.
Normally cal gas showing ok after 8 to 10 Nob turns after completely close.
Your all tune pass because cal gas ok or slightly high not hindrance in R.F. tune, multiplier, trap tuning until it very high.
