Column Activity Pump DMDCS through Column?

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

I have a few Gc columns that have devloped activty that solvent rinsing nor clipping has not cured. I was wondering if treating it like a cleaned liner by pumping Dimethyldichlorosilane through using the solvent pump would deactivate the column and restore it?

Obviously it won't work on a wax column but DB-1's and 5's?
I am not sure if pumping that through the column would damage the stationary phase or not, but if the activity is being caused by particulates or other high boiling contaminates that are stuck in the column then it would probably not fix the problem.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
