Hello everyone

I had a little mess using my Agilent 1100 and Masslynx 4.1:
Due to heavy carryover of a specific sample, I buyed a gameboy controller to be able to program an injector program using a wash vial. I don't know why, but the combination gameboy + Masslynx resultet in severe autosampler chrashes (gripper did not hit the vials, needle went far too far up or down and could not be released other than by opening the case and spinning the leadscrew by hand etc. Cost me three needles and one needle seat  ).
I returned the gameboy, but now I'm back to the first problem: How can I wash the needle? I found the "Inlet prerun" and "Inlet postrun" columns in Masslynx sequence editor. However, I don't know how they should work, and the ML online help and manual don't tell me. I created a program called "prerun.h11", with vial 99 and Inject 100 µl in the autosampler pane, stop time 1 min, column switch on. I selected this program in the prerun column of the sequence. Result: the column is switched for 1 min, but no injection is made. Does anybody know how to do the magic?

Thanks very much in advance,
Jörg
