Problem with Varian 450-GC error.

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

Hello
I have a Varian 450-GC with a 240-ms detector unit, and appeared to me a problem in signal acquisition, in which all system diagnostic tests pass correctly and I can do the auto-tune in the system correctly. But then when I try to do the sample run the data acquisition of this unexpectedly ends showing the following error: "Module 240-MS/4000.56: Fault (STOP) in received." I isolate the problem in GC that send one message to stop run. When I start the run in Status of GC show “Run”, but for a few moments appears “Not Ready in Ru…..” and returns to “Run”. But no messages are left on the log of GC. I do not have more ideas of what can be. Did anyone have any ideas that can help me?
Thank you
Armindo
You haven't message in log because "not ready in run" is normal situation during injection of sample, for example due pressure fluctuation in your inlet when syringe enters septa...and GC normally doesn't send nothing to ms to stop run.
IMHO may be method corruption problem. Try to verify all method section, and eventually rewrite method from new.
Hope this help
