Hi everyone,
I am using RP C18 column from Waters and analyzing carotenoids. Kindly assist on how to rectify error message such as bubbles in the compression and sometimes the pressure suddenly rise excessively. Please advise on causes of bubbles and how to rectify it on my system as well as pressure fluctuations. I operate with a flow rate of 1 ml/per minute with a PDA detector.

Thank you
the first and most obvious think to look at is whether your degasser is operating properly. If this is an isocratic separation, you might consider premixing and then degassing your mobile phase off-line.

Thank you for your input.
The pressure rise is caused by something else.
Is it systematic - f.x. upon injection?
And what happens NeXT - does the pressure normalise?

What is/are your mobile phase(s)? Flow Rates?
Can't help diagnose without this problem.
