Here i am working in membrane separations lab , here my work is to separate the acetic acid(very low content of acetic acid 1.5 wt%) from water by using pervaporation , so i need to measure their concentrations (both feed and permeate)in the water , so i am looking forward to using the Gas Chromatography that is already in my lab , but at this juncture i am quite unaware of this GC handling , what are the std conditions should we have to follow for this acetic acid water mixture , what type of column should i have to use ? i remind you once again that here i am going to measure 1-5wt% of acetic acid in water , so pls tell me what are the pros and cons , and is there any other methods available to measure this concentration effectively , I really obligued to you if anybody send me reply to this requistition , i am desperately looking forward to see the reply...
bye
