Using Openlab CDS chemstation edition with network drive

Has anyone used the OL CDS chemstation with a network drive as the data, sequence and method storage directory? I am trying to configure the software to work with a network drive but it's just too slow. Whenever Chemstation is running, uploading data to the network drive is a painfully slow processes. This means a 2 min run time method will ultimately take 6-7 min per injection due to the slow data transfer. Agilent says they don't support networked drive unless you purchase their own OpenLab shared/server system. I believe there should be a simple way to work around the slow speed. Any suggestions will be deeply appreciated.

If it is still a file based system, there should be a way to copy the data to your network location after the run is acquired.

I keep hearing bad things about this CDS. Perhaps it is full of IT kludges. No one can manipulate data if they cannot access it :D .
Hi, OpenLAB CDS chemstation does not support direct storage on a UNC path, OpenLAB CDS EZChrom does.
Maybe you should trade your chemstation for an OpenLAB CDS EZChrom.

However, said that, there should be a macro in OpenLAB CDS Chemstation that allows you to copy the files to a server at the end of the run, a backup so to speak. But direct storage is not supported.

Thank you Freek for your response. We had already purchased several licences for Chemtstation and we were hoping not to make drastic changea as we did the software upgrades since everyone is kind of used to Chemstation. Do you know where I can find the macro that backs up the data to the server? Perhaps that would serve our needs.
Thanks
Will ask around here

i got a few macro's and i uploaded these to my public dropbox. No warranties here as I am not a ChemStation macro programming guy and do not understand what these macros are about.
