Dear Friends,

I would like to hear some comments on IC instruments other than Dionex. I am in the process of buying some instruments and I would like to hear some opinions.

We all know Dionex is a leaer in the field, but how about others such as Metrohm?, do they offer similar performance?, any limitations?, any differences in cost or reliability?

Thanks,

josebenjamin

Dear josebenjamin

Ask your Metrohm IC representative http://www.metrohm.com/agencies.html for references and a demonstration of your application.

In case of questions you may contact me as well (lae@metrohm.ch).

Metrohm ICs

Dear Markus,

Finally someone saw my initial message. I have been trying to obtain information about Metrohm IC systems, in specific their applicability to anion determinations in air particulate matter (according to EPA Methods), differences compared with DIONEX units, and discussions about chemical supression vs electronic suppresion. No luck yet with Metrohm dealers in this part of the world.

I found some european bulletin in which they mention a Model 733 suitable for the applications, but thus far I have not obtained a recommendation on an adequate current model, or any of the points above.

If you can send me something please do it to besquivel@ciatej.net.mx

thanks,
