chromeleon 7 importing cm6 data error

Hi ,
I have now managed to solve the privilege problem as below.
But now an error appears when trying to import sequence to CM7 :
'cannot find central directory'
Ive tried creating a folder with this name but with no success
Any ideas?

Hi ,
Im trying to import some old data/qnt/rdf's onto Chromeleon 7.1.2 but with no success.
The message when trying to import is 'missing privilege level' but in admin console I cannot see this box to tick
Any ideas?

find below error when trying to import sequences from older chromeleon version (6.6 -6.
:
Cannot find central directory
ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipException
at ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipFile.ReadEntries()
at ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipFile..ctor(String name)
at Dionex.BackupRestore.Engine.Restore.ReadArchiveHeader(String backupFilePath)
at Dionex.BackupRestore.UI.RestoreOptionsForm.OnRestoreOptionsFormLoad(Object sender, EventArgs e)
Any ideas would be great

Hi,
what function do you use?
"File" - "Import from"... That works only with CM7 data...
Mount the CM6 Datasoure with the "Data Vault Manager" (read only) and copy desired data to your CM7

Hi,
How are you trying to import the CM6 data. Is this via the .cmb back-up file? If this is the case, unfortunately CM7 does not recognise this file format as it is now uses .cmbx.
To be able to import the CM6 data, you need to mount the CM6 datasource within CM7. The datasource will then become visible within the CM7 console (navigation pane). You can then simply drag and drop or copy and paste from the CM6 datasource to the CM7 datavault if you want to process data further. Otherwise it can be viewed within the native CM6 datasource.

Hi ,
Thanks for your reply.
I changed the file to .cmbx as it did not recognise the .cmb as you mentioned.
We do not have CM6 here , only CM7 .
The CM6 data is on a usb stick so no CM6 datasource/database
I tried the data vault manager but with no success
I will give it another go .
Also anybody know the cost of one license for Report desginer pro?
