master-slave on P.E. series 200 pump?

I am hoping someone can help me out here.
I am considering the purchase of 2 perkin elmer isocratic pumps (set up for lower flow rates, 0.2 to 0.5 mL/min).
I wish to connect them together by a cable so one can act as master and the other as slave, so they can run gradients in the 0.2 to 0.4 mL/min range.
I do NOT intend to use any computer control.
I can see nowhere in the P.E. series 200 pump manual how to do this.
I HAVE seen 2 such pumps set up and working in this way, about 12 years ago.
Can anyone confirm it is possible and how it is done (or reply with a link to the info)??
